Mixed electrocorundum
Balance between effectiveness and control - abrasive for special tasks at a reasonable price.
Who was mixed electrocorundum created for?
Mixed electrocorundum, also called semi-precious corundum, is an industrial mineral abrasive that combines the advantages of white and brown corundum. Developed for companies looking for a compromise between high efficiency and moderate operating costs. It is used in metal, ceramic and stone processing plants, as well as in the production of abrasive tools and in applications requiring regular replacement of abrasive. This material is for those who need sharp but predictable work - while maintaining control over the budget.

The sharp-edged shape of the grains enables aggressive but precise action. The Al₂O₃ content of approximately 98% ensures adequate chemical purity for industrial applications. The lack of free silica and metallic impurities means higher safety for operators and lower risk of reaction with the workpiece surface. Less aggressive than white corundum, and at the same time more effective than versions of cheap slag abrasives or synthetic admixtures. Multi-tasking – suitable for metals, technical ceramics, glass, concrete, plastics and even technical wood.
Production method and structure are the key to success
Mixed electrocorundum is created by combining brown and white corundum fractions in appropriate proportions, while maintaining quality control standards. The result is an abrasive with an irregular, sharp-edged structure and optimized hardness – approximately 8.5-9 on the Mohs scale.
This makes it suitable for both cleaning large surfaces and for more delicate matting of details. The possibility of reuse in closed systems and a wide range of granulation increase the flexibility of the process.

In which industry is mixed electrocorundum suitable?
Metal and construction industry
For cleaning and preparing surfaces before painting, gluing, welding – also on stainless steel and aluminum, where abrasives containing iron cannot be used.
Stone and ceramics industry
In the processing of stone slabs, technical and decorative ceramics – to give a matte effect, structure or remove surface contamination without damaging the detail.
Production of abrasive tools
As a component for abrasive mixtures in the production of papers, pastes and discs for industrial applications where premium class is not required.
Non-standard applications? Absolutely
Mixed electrocorundum is also used in cleaning steel elements for spray metalization, in the renovation of historic elements, in the preparation of surfaces made of plastics and technical wood, as well as in the processing of architectural components that must retain their texture, but are required to be clean and adhesive.
Balanced characteristics make it a versatile solution where too hard or too soft abrasives might fail.

How to choose electrocorundum for the cleaning process?
How do we implement mixed electrocorundum into client companies?

Analysis and tests – By analyzing the process, challenges and problems of the client, we select the most optimal solution.

Measurements and tests – We come for an inspection visit, where we verify the process, take samples and analyze the results.

Training and training – We offer training in processing parameters, selection of pressure, distance and working angle in pneumatic cabins. We help set systems to suit the efficiency and durability of the material.

Process supervision – We continue cooperation. We provide support, dedicated care and periodic monitoring of the process.
