SPAJIC® cut wire shot
Maximum durability and versatility in abrasive blasting. Designed for continuous operation in extreme conditions.
Who was SPAJIĆ® cut wire shot designed for?
SPAJIĆ® shot is a product developed for the most demanding customers for whom efficiency, repeatability and precision of the process are of key importance. It is used both in the shot-peening process and in shot peening technology - therefore it is suitable both in foundry plants and in the production of elements subject to fatigue loads, e.g. in the aviation, automotive or energy industries. In the shot-blasting process, SPAJIĆ® guarantees quick and effective removal of scale, rust and impurities. In the case of shot peening, its perfectly rounded shape provides a controlled stress effect, increasing the fatigue resistance of components. The product is recommended for intensive, multi-shift industrial processes, where uninterrupted work and precision are the foundation of quality.
In which industries will SPAJIĆ® shot be suitable?
Foundry and forging industry
Perfect for cleaning cast iron and steel details – removes scale, molding sand and other surface contaminants. Its regular shape does not cause scratches or defects.
Automotive, aviation, railway industry
In shot peening applications, SPAJIĆ® shot enables precise introduction of compressive stresses in critical places of mechanical components – which increases their fatigue life and resistance to microcracks.
Production of springs, tools and reinforcement elements
Thanks to controlled hardness and uniform wear, SPAJIĆ® is ideal for surface hardening and preparing elements for further heat treatment or hardening.

Ask about your company’s situation and we will advise how SPAJIC® can solve your problem.
What distinguishes SPAJIĆ® shot from other standard solutions?
SPAJIĆ® shot is characterized by a cut form without foundry scale – thanks to this, it does not generate secondary contamination and helps maintain cleanliness in the processed details and in the shot blasting system. The cylindrical shape and uniform structure allow for even wear of the abrasive without cracking, as is the case with standard high-carbon shots. Its service life is 2-3 times higher compared to spherical shot, which translates into much less frequent refilling of material and lower overall process costs. Thanks to the possibility of using raw materials with several chemical compositions, it is possible to precisely select the hardness to meet the customer’s production requirements. It is perfect for removing bottlenecks because it reduces machining time by up to 50%, which allows you to achieve up to twice the production efficiency – especially under constant load conditions.
Production method and structure are the key to success
SPAJIĆ® shot is made of selected steel wire (carbon or stainless steel), which is subjected to precise cutting and heat treatment in order to achieve the structure and hardness needed for a given process. This production process ensures that the material has a homogeneous, compact structure, and the customer can choose a hardness ranging from 400 HV to even 700 HV, obtaining increased process intensity and up to 3 times higher durability than standard spherical shots. The lack of scale ensures that the shot does not cause additional dust, which reduces filtration costs and the amount of waste after the process. An additional advantage is the possibility of quick implementation – after correcting the machine’s operating parameters, the starting mixture is implemented already on the first day of testing, thus immediately shortening shot-blasting cycles. The customer can easily check the effectiveness in real conditions by sending the finished details for evaluation by the end recipient.

Is your company from a different industry? It doesn’t matter!
SPAJIĆ® shot is a product with a wide range of applications – offered in many fractions and several hardnesses, which significantly facilitates careful adjustment to the precise customer requirements. Our technicians indicate the appropriate type for a specific process – regardless of whether it is intensive shot blasting or specialized shot peening. We support customers from the analysis stage of the current process, through tests in our test center, sieve analysis in our laboratory, to daily service support. Long-term action plans aimed at achieving quantifiable financial savings and quality requirements are areas that influence more and more fruitful projects with our clients.
How to choose cut wire shot for the shot blasting process?
How do we implement SPAJIĆ® pellets in client companies?
Process analysis – We do not start projects without a thorough understanding of the current process. Therefore, in the initial phase of the project, we precisely analyze the client's current challenges and problems to check the room for potential optimization. If we jointly recognize that the current state can be improved in terms of quality and economics, we continue the project.
Measurements and tests – We come to the client to audit the process. We verify machine settings, take samples, talk to operators who are closest to the process, check the level of surface blasting and analyze the results.
Tests and training – In order to reduce the risk of changes introduced in the customer's conditions, we carry out tests on selected material in the test center in Łódź. We evaluate the results, consider possible corrections, and then prepare an action plan for the following months. We train employees in the areas to which they need to pay more attention and introduce the necessary procedures that will allow the team to maintain the established process parameters in the long term.
Process supervision – We continue project cooperation. We provide regular support aimed at cyclical monitoring of the process after changes in the client's process. This allows customers to better understand the quality and financial aspects of processing.
