Spherical steel shot
Durable and low-cost abrasive for industrial shot blasting. A proven solution for everyday shot blasting in industrial production.
Who was spherical steel shot created for?
Spherical steel shot is a universal abrasive, recommended for companies dealing with metal surface treatment, cleaning of steel structures and preparing surfaces for protective coatings. It works well in industrial plants that focus on efficiency, repeatability and a low unit price for the abrasive material. This shot is a good choice for foundries, plants producing machines and steel elements, and the construction industry, where shot blasting is not the highest production priority. Material recommended for use in rotor shot blasters.
You don’t know what abrasive choose?
Basic to broad abrasive
range of applications
Standard ball shot is an economical solution that, despite the low unit price, comes from carefully selected suppliers. Thanks to this, users do not report quality complaints. This shot is distinguished by its perfectly spherical shape and homogeneous internal structure. Compared to broken shots, it is less aggressive, which translates into a gentler effect on the surface of the cleaned details. Thanks to stable process parameters, it is particularly appreciated in plants where the main criteria for choosing an abrasive material are low price and repeatability of the effect. In the case of companies for which shot blasting is a key element of production, takes place in multi-shift mode and is analyzed in terms of total cost of use (TCO), it is recommended to use high-performance abrasives.
Stability of the production process is the key to success
Spherical steel shot is made by spraying liquid metal, which forms perfectly spherical grains in the process of rapid crystallization. Then the material is hardened and selectively heat treated, which ensures constant hardness and adequate abrasion resistance. The spherical shape of the particles allows for gentler, but very even cleaning of the surface and high repeatability of the process. Thanks to its controlled structure and stable parameters, this abrasive is perfect for both technological applications and for preparing surfaces for painting. Its long service life results in lower consumption in the process and minimization of operating costs. It is available in a wide range of fractions – which allows it to be adapted to specific devices and technological requirements.
In which industry is spherical steel shot suitable?
Foundries and industrial plants
Effectively removes metallurgical scale, rust and residues from previous processing. It allows you to obtain a surface ready for painting, galvanizing or applying protective coatings.
Construction and steel industry
Perfect for preparing the surfaces of sheet metal, sections, welded elements and steel infrastructure components before applying anti-corrosion protection.
Machinery and vehicle industry
Used for cleaning machine elements, frames and steel components exposed to the environment or requiring permanent preparation for functional coatings.

How to choose spherical steel shot for the shot-blasting process?
How do we implement spherical steel shot into client companies?
Process analysis – We do not start projects without a thorough understanding of the current process. Therefore, in the initial phase of the project, we precisely analyze the client's current challenges and problems to check the room for potential optimization. If we jointly recognize that the current state can be improved in terms of quality and economics, we continue the project.
Measurements and tests – We come to the client to audit the process. We verify machine settings, take samples, talk to operators who are closest to the process, check the level of surface blasting and analyze the results.
Tests and training – In order to reduce the risk of changes introduced in the customer's conditions, we carry out tests on selected material in the test center in Łódź. We evaluate the results, consider possible corrections, and then prepare an action plan for the following months. We train employees in the areas to which they need to pay more attention and introduce the necessary procedures that will allow the team to maintain the established process parameters in the long term.
Process supervision – We continue project cooperation. We provide regular support aimed at cyclical monitoring of the process after changes in the client's process. This allows customers to even better understand the key quality and financial aspects related to processing.
