Brown fused alumina

Brown fused alumina is used to processing non-ferrous metals and ceramics, in stone industry and in renovation of monuments.
Brown fused alumina
To deliver the proper solution for your process and maximize your satisfaction we offer various types of ecologic, reusable abrasive media including brown fused alumina. Brown fused alumina, known as brown corundum, is and synthetic abrasive material made from a reduced fusion of quality bauxite, iron and coal in an electric arc furnace. We offer the corundum in a wide range of granulation.

Properties of brown fused alumina

Brown corundum is a reusable abrasive material, it can be used about 30 times – it has high machinability as well. Combination of those properties makes it a one of the best material for abrasive cleaning of stainless steel and non-ferrous metals like aluminium and copper. Fused alumina is an ecological material – the content of the Al2O3 in the material varies between 84% and 95% depending on your needs. Brown corundum does not contain lead and silica, thanks to that it is safe for the operator.

Usage

  • Cleaning steel constructions;
  • Cleaning steel, non-ferrous and heavy metals surfaces;
  • Cleaning and decorating non-ferrous materials – glass, stone, bricks etc.;
  • Cleaning mould casts and metal moulds;
  • Filling material.
